My love for makeup began not to long ago. Up until recently the only brand in my caboodles was MAC cosmetics. Everything from my primer to blush, lipstick to bronzer was MAC. Then my mall got a Sephora! Every makeup junkies dream! Everyone’s but mine. Hold up ‘SAY WHAT?!’ you ask. Truth is I was afraid of Sephora. Every time I walked in there I would get overwhelmed by the multitude of brands and makeup I knew nothing about. I was a MAC girl. Then a couple of weeks ago I pumped the last drop of my MAC Prolong Wear Liquid Foundation and I was stuck with a dilemma. Do I repurchase my beloved MAC Prolong Wear Foundation? Or do I face my fears and venture into unknown Sephora territory?
Well as you must have guessed I chose the latter. That’s when I discovered my HOLY GRAIL of foundations. I know, I know how could it possibly be my HG if I’ve only ever know MAC. Well let me tell you ladies I took advantage of those FREE samples 😉
Ladies if you haven’t already met I’d like to introduce you to Urban Decay’s NAKED SKIN weightless ultra definition liquid makeup foundation and the NAKED SKIN weightless complete coverage concealer!
This Foundation is AMAZING. I thought I loved My MAC Prolong wear foundation until I met the true love of my life. Though I admit MAC Prolong wear had great coverage I wasn’t so fond of the way that it felt on my face. It felt thick. All day I could never forget that I was wearing foundation. Especially on a hot summers day, oh boy did I feel like my makeup was melting. For reference I have Combination skin. I wouldn’t say that I get oily in the T-Zone, I’d say I get shiny and I have some dry patches on my forehead that some foundations tend to emphasize (aka SMASHBOX 15 HOUR STUDIO SKIN FOUNDATION WHY DID YOU FAIL ME I so wanted to love you.)
This foundation claims that it feels like your wearing nothing at all, it’ll illuminate and brighten the skin and that its weightless and virtually invisible. Also its paraben-free and creates a flawless demi-matte finish. I must say ‘here, here I agree, I agree!’ It honestly feels as if my face is going au naturel. And though this foundation only has a demi-matte finish, since switching to this foundation I have said bye, bye to shiny T-zone. I’d say this foundation gives medium coverage but can easily be built up to full. Even built up to full coverage the foundation still holds true to its weightless, naked claims.

Now moving on to the concealer!
Hands up if you’ve got some dark circles going on under your eyes! *Raises both hands way up into the air* I’m a mom of three girls aged 7, 3, and 7 months. Sleep is foreign to me so you better believe I’ve got some circles going on. Before the Naked Skin weightless complete coverage concealer I used MAC select cover up. I’d say it did a decent job covering it up but I really had nothing else to compare it to. I did go to MAC to test out the Prolong wear concealer but I have to say I expected more because of all the hype it gets! The concealer dried up quickly and caked under my eyes make it look very dry. Swoop in this new Naked skin concealer and once again I am in LOVE.
This concealer claims to cover imperfections without looking covered up, its weightless and provides buildable coverage.
This concealer comes with a flat doe foot applicator which provides the perfect amount of product each time. I got this in the colour Medium- Neutral. It works wonders! I cant say if its buildable or not because I’ve only ever had to use one layer. Which is fantastic considering the small amount that you get. But a little goes along way.

In my after pic with just the concealer on no foundation or anything else you can still see puffiness in my eyes but hey it never claimed to be rid of that. In my opinion it did a great job at brightening up my under eyes and concealing my dark circles.
So there you have it my fellow lippies. I hope this review was helpful! I must say that I am so happy I decided to get over myself and start shopping at Sephora!
