10 Bible Verses to claim over Your life right Now

Empower your Spirit, 10 bible verses to claim over your life right now, Bible verses, the word, cultivate Christ, faith, prayer, grace

Hello Friends and happy 2020! Normally I begin each New Year with a list of resolutions that include: losing weight, eating healthy, going to the gym 5 times a week for an hour; all of which usually end up unfulfilled by the end of January. Can any one else relate?!

This year I decided to join my church, during our 21 days of Prayer and Fasting. I decided to consecrate the first couple of days in the new year to the Lord to gain direction from Him for the rest of the Year and it has been so powerful! I’ll be doing a blog post about my experience with Prayer and Fasting in the next couple of weeks to share more about this and the reason behind it.

In these 21 days I’ve immersed myself in the Word aka the Bible and I’m going to share with you the 10 bible verses to claim over your life right now!

Genesis 1:27-28

27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (NKJV)

God’s first commandment to humans was to be fruitful and multiply. He wants us to increase in all areas of our life! He gave us Dominion over this earth. God wants us to prosper, we’re not called to live mediocre lives just barely getting by. Claim the increase over you life everyday!

Numbers 23:19

God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (ESV)

God keeps his promises to his children. If God has told you that he will do something then he will fulfill it as long as you do your part.

Deuteronomy 28:1, 12-13

“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

12 The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, (ESV)

God has made us to be the lender and never the borrower, the head and never the tail and we are meant to go up, to increase! It’s not scriptural for us to have lives that represent the stock market always rising and falling. If you follow the Lord he blesses all the work of your hands and so your life only has one way to go, up and up.

Joshua 1:3

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. (ESV)

Everyone God made a covenant with He turned LAND over to them. We are in covenant with God! God has promised us land. Every place, every piece of land your feet walk upon has been given to you. Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth says that land acquisition is spiritual because spirits are territorial. If you OWN the land as God has intended for you then territorial spirits can’t operate on it. So claim this verse over your life and possess the land that’s been promised to you.

Proverbs 18:20-21

20 From the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach is satisfied;
he is satisfied by the yield of his lips.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. (ESV)

Have you ever heard the saying “be careful of what you say? ” Well it’s true! What you say and what you claim over your life has power. Your tongue is the steering wheel of your life. So stop declaring that your life is a certain way and start proclaiming God’s blessings over it!

Mark 10:51-52

51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way. (ESV)

Does Jesus want to heal you? The answer is YES. Throughout the bible you see people coming to Him for healing and did He ever turn them away? Did He say maybe I will heal you maybe I won’t? No! Just like this verse Jesus would ask “What do you want me to do for you?” The people would make their requests known and based on their Faith they were healed. Faith is so important! Jesus said “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” and the sick would IMMEDIATELY recover.

Isaiah 54:17

17     no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.(ESV)

No weapon or circumstance formed against you shall succeed, but YOU need to be the one that rebukes the problems in your life. Again we see here the power of the tongue, the power of your words. So if you find yourself right now in a certain situation, you have the authority to rebuke it and change it in Jesus Name!

John 16:23-24

23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (ESV)

Jesus wants to bless us. He says ask anything in His name and you will receive it! Why? Because he wants our JOY to be full. He wants us to be happy!

Mark 11:24

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (ESV)

One thing I think a lot of Christians do is beg God to answer their prayer. They ask things in prayer and they’re not sure whether or not God will answer them, But this verse right here says that whatever you ask in prayer you will receive it! The key is that you have to believe that it’s already yours. Faith is the key to prayer. There can be no doubt in your mind. Instead of praying please God, Please heal me, try I thank you Lord that you took all sickness and diseases on the cross and by your stripes I am already healed in Jesus name so I curse this sickness that’s in my body and command my body to be whole in Jesus name!

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Are you anxious? Are you stressed? Fear IS NOT FROM THE LORD! So rebuke those feelings with your mouth. God has given us power, love and a sound mind. All those worries he’s already taken care of. Let it go and let God handle it.

So what does this mean for me?

John 3:16-17

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (ESV)

Has anyone ever told you that God loves you and that He has a wonderful plan for your life? I have a real quick, but important question to ask you. If you were to die this very second, do you know for sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you would go to Heaven?

Let me quickly share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. The Bible also reads, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”. And you’re a “whosoever” right? Of course you are; all of us are.

I’m going to say a quick prayer for you. Lord, bless my friend who is reading this today and their family with long and healthy lives. Jesus, make Yourself real to my friend and do a quick work in their heart. If my friend has not received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, I pray they will do so now.

Receive the gift that God has for you now!

If you would like to receive the gift that God has for you today, say this after me with your heart and lips out loud. Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You’re coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m saved; I’m born again, I’m forgiven and I’m on my way to Heaven because I have Jesus in my heart.

As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I tell you today that all of your sins are forgiven. Always remember to run to God and not from God because He loves you and has a great plan for your life.

My friend if you have made it this far and prayed that prayer out loud, congratulations my new brother or sister in Christ! If you’re in the Vancouver, BC area I would love to connect you with our Good News Chapel Vancouver. Reach out as I would love to hear from you. 🙂 I hope you have a Blessed Day!
