Lip liners are something that I have gotten into recently. Until a couple weeks ago I actually didn’t even own one lip pencil from any brand. But I am now a believer in them.They just allow for such easy application of lipstick. No more accidental lipstick on the upper lip cause I was trying to get the colour close to the edge, no more lipstick bleeds.
Being new to lipliners I didn’t want to spend a whole lot on them. So I decided to give NYX slim lip pencils a try and have not regretted it. NYX once again offers such amazing quality products for a fraction of the cost.
Lets start with my nudes and browns. From top to bottom
Nude pink – is a nude pink 😉
Mauve – is supposed to be a dupe for the infamous MAC whirl. I’ve been into MAC to swatch and I feel that Whirl is darker but mauve is a good alternative if you don’t feel like coughing up the extra money for Whirl.
Ever – is a dupe for MAC Soar, another hard to come by liner from MAC
1000 years – is a dupe for MAC Stone
The reds and pinks from top to bottom:
Hot Red – is a bright cherry red, I pair this with all my reds
Fuchsia – is a purple pink and works well with most fuchsia lipsticks
Hot pink – is a bright pink perfect to pair with my MAC pink pigeon
Dolly pink – is a bubblegum pink that reminds me of MAC saint germain
Orange and coral top to bottom:
Orange – is .. well orange :p Love this liner paired with MACs Reel Sexy and Vegas Volt.
Tangerine – has a pearlescent sheen to it and this is the only lipliner I have a complaint about as the colour was to light to even register on my lip.
NYX Lip pencils are good quality, pigmented, go on easily, and are long lasting. You should definitely pick some up if you’re looking to try out some new liners.

I have Hot Red and Mauve…and Mauve is just a gem!!! I am the same as you just recently getting into the world of lip liners but they seriously do make such a difference! The essence liners are actually really good too and creamy for only about $1.00 have you checked them out before?
I keep hearing about essence! I should check them out! 🙂
