As parents we’ve all been there. We pick the kids up from school excited to hear about all the things they’ve learned and so we ask “How was school today?” and the conversation usually unfolds like this

Me: “How was school today?”

Kids: “Good.”

Me: “That’s great! What did you learn today?”

Kids: “Stuff, I don’t really remember.”

Me: “You spent all day in school and don’t remember anything?”

And so on and so forth. Turns out asking the simple “How was school today?” just doesn’t cut it anymore and is usually a sure way to get absolutely nothing out of your kids. Do not fret for I have devised 14 questions to ask your kids to get them talking about their day.
