Makeup for the Busy Bee

Makeup for the Busy Bee

Being a mom of three you better be believe that I am one busy bee. On days when I have to run around doing errands such as grocery shopping or taking my girls to jiu-jitsu (that’s right my girls can kick butt and take care of their own) I don’t want to have to spend the time putting on the primer, the concealer, the foundation and so on. So I went out to find a product that could do all of these things for me and quickly! Something that I could just slap on my face and go, go, go. BB Creams were the answer! At first I didn’t want to invest in a high end BB cream since it was something that I wanted to have for those busy days. But after trying a couple of drug store brands such as, Maybelline dream fresh bb cream and Rimmel stay matte BB cream, and having them fail completely at living up to their claims I found myself back at Sephora.

After reading review after review on how AMAZING the Tarte BB cream was I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m so glad that I did!

This BB cream is fantastic! One layer evens out your skin tone, covers redness and masks the dark circles. The formula is buildable so you could actually use this as a foundation OR you could use this as a primer as well! I have and it works great I actually use less foundation when using this as a primer because it does so well in creating a smooth canvas and hiding imperfections.

Before picture you can see my uneven skintone and some redness. The after picture, with just one layer applied, minimizes those imperfections quiet spectacularly if you ask me.

Another awesome thing about this product is that you can buy it in travel size! the full sized tube holds 30ml of product and retails at $42 where as the travel size holds 15ml of product and retails at $12. You could buy 2 travel sized products to equal one full sized product at only $24 total! Unfortunately travel size only comes in the light and medium shade so darker skin tones you are out of luck and would have to purchase the full size.

What do you think about BB creams? I know they are a hit or miss with some individuals. What BB cream do you use?

Until next time Lippies xo – Beth
