Kat Von D’s Everlasting liquid lipstick in Lolita is all the rage these days. Some have been disappointed with all the hype some have not. I’m on the side that has not been disappointed. I actually loved the ‘bad batch’ that came out in December in the dark brown colour but sadly was not able to get my hands on it. Actually until now I still do not own Lolita! Still desperately trying to get my hands on it. But I do own the next best thing. Patina by Stila cosmetics.
With Lolita being sold out across the board Sephora associates have been directing clients to Stila’s Patina so naturally it too has been sold out! Yesterday I decided to give it a shot and call around to see if any of my local Sephoras had it in stock and luckily the very last one I called did! I couldn’t get down there fast enough to pick it up!
Patina is described as ‘dusty rose’. The lipstick is claimed to be highly pigmented, weightless on the lips and delivers long-lasting results for up to six hours. Enriched with vitamin E and avocado it does not bleed nor transfer. I have been wearing this lipstick for 8 hours now and have not had to touch up once! Kissed my kiddies and niece and not one spec of lipstick transfered to their cheeks! This lipstick is beyond awesome! Your lips stay perfect all day long. Every woman’s dream. It applies like a gloss then dries matte. The picture on the left is it swatched wet and the right is what it looks like after drying. It does dry darker which I prefer. This dusty rose lipstick is GORGEOUS a beautiful colour no matter what season it is. If you’ve been trying to get your hands on the Lolita with no luck I recommend buying this. If you already have Lolita I’d still recommend buying this! Its such an iconic colour that every woman should own it and have it stocked in their caboodle.

Kat Von D lolita has been out of stock for months in stores! Just got an email today that it’s in stock online and placed my order! If you’re looking into buying that one you should hurry and get it online sells out so fast! As for patina I had to call around and found one in stock at the last sephora in my city! They’re beautiful lippies def go check them out 🙂
